Incredible art on display in Knowsley again

Once again our Galleries are offering residents a fantastic opportunity to see work by some highly acclaimed artists right here in Knowsley.

Drawn from Life is split across both Huyton and Kirkby Galleries, and is a celebration of the art of figure drawing.

In Kirkby Gallery there’s the chance to see some really special pieces by artists including Moore, Hepworth, Lowry and Hockney – all on loan from the Arts Council Collection.

As has been said before, these kinds of works can’t be lent out and put on show in just any gallery – it’s only because of the custom-design of Kirkby Gallery, which is within the Kirkby Centre, that allows us to have them. The space has to be just right – the light, the layout and the temperature – and it’s a great credit to Knowsley that we have a space like this where important works can be exhibited.

So if you haven’t yet, go along and see these masterpieces for yourself – you have until Saturday 22 October.
